The National Next Of Kin Registry (NOKR) is a non-partisan; non-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to bridging rapid emergency contact information. NOKR was established in January 2004, for daily emergency situations.
NOKR has established a worldwide network of volunteers. NOKR-ECV's and NOKR-SSV's have helped NOKR to become the International Emergency Family Locator System.

EMERGENCY CONTACT VOLUNTEER
As an Emergency Contact Volunteer (ECV) you’re a large part of the solution.

NOKR is currently seeking volunteers to become ECV’s in communities worldwide. ECV’s will help those who wish to register their emergency point of contact information in the NOKR system but are unable to because they don't have access to a computer or they live in a remote area. We also need our volunteers to go out and register people at local homeless shelters, veteran centers, woman shelters, senior centers, convalescent homes, foster care centers and churches. The rewards of volunteering are many, and extend far beyond the good feeling you get from helping others.

Your mission as an ECV is to inform people about the FREE NOKR resource, help individuals and families register and optionally speak out to your community leaders, so that they utilize the free resource.

ECV's can help when natural disasters such as Hurricanes, Tornados, floods are approaching by passing out the NOKR registration forms.

ECV's can help families by passing out the NOKR registration forms when tragic events happen, such as the recent US Hurricane Katrina, London Bombing or the past Asian Tsunami.

Emergency Contact Volunteer's (ECV’s) are self paced and directed. ECV'S will explain NOKR's free service to individuals in their community and provide assistance completing the registration form. Download the mail in/fax form at  http://nokr.org/form/nokr_mail_in_form.htm and take this form to a local printer in your area. Most print sources will donate their service to print 25 copies of the NOKR registration form. Once the forms are completed you would mail or fax these forms to the location below.

Junior Emergency Contact Volunteer's (Jr.ECV’s) are self paced and directed with adult supervision.

Once received NOKR will add these individuals to the National Registry. 

It's a great way to give back to the community and would be a great experience for young Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts and for anyone who wishes to donate their time.

NOKR INTERNET SUPER SURFER VOLUNTEER (SSV) Join us today as an NOKR Super Surfer Volunteer (SSV). Your internet talents will help increase linking of NOKR throughout the internet.    NOKR SSV’s help to spread the word that we must all be vigilant and continue to prepare our families and ourselves proactively. No one knows where the next catastrophe will hit but we do need to know that our communities have prepared. Our valued SSV’s will help network the NOKR resource by reaching out to emergency agencies, local police, fire, hospitals, civic and faith based organizations by requesting that they link the NOKR to their homepage website in order to grow the NOKR's visibility.
